Our range of hot-chamber machines vary in size from 20 tonne to 200 tonne locking force, with the very latest 'Real Time' process control technology fitted on our newer machines for the production of high-quality 'plating standard' components that require minimal finishing.
All of our Frech die-casting machines are equipped with the latest processor controls for outstanding performance and they complement our extensive base of bespoke hydraulic machines in producing parts to the highest standards. If your requirements are for safety critical components or parts of aesthetic quality, we have machines to suit. Fully automated processes include cellular production, robot pick 'n' place and weight-sensing technology
The foundry is fed with molten zinc from our Meltec re-melting furnace, capacity 500Kg Zn/hr, delivered to each machine with a Meltec metal transport furnace.
Zinc alloys ZL2, ZL3 and ZL5 are routinely cast and shot weights ranging from a few grammes to over 5Kilos are possible.
As our customers have come to appreciate, Lesney also complement the die-casting service with an integrated Machine and Trim Department, where secondary operations such as turning, milling, drilling, tapping etc, are carried out. Specified paint or plated finishes are applied at our carefully selected sub-contractors.
